YOUNGSTERS in Tideswell had something to celebrate on Saturday as their new [pounds sterling]79,000 skate park was unveiled.
David Joy, Director of Derbyshire Sport, officially opened the facility and presented a cheque for [pounds sterling]119,390 to Audrey Hopkins, President of Tideswell Community Association.
As well as contributing towards the cost of the park, this money will fund the post of a part time Youth Engagement Officer for three years to promote local sport facilities and encourage people to use them.
