NT: NT free of dengue despite Queensland outbreak

DARWIN, Feb 4 AAP - Potentially fatal dengue fever has not spread to the Northern Territory,
despite infecting nearly 300 people in neighbouring Queensland.
But NT health authorities warn there is "an imminent risk" of another mainland outbreak.
As of Wednesday, there were 250 cases of dengue confirmed in Cairns and 40 cases in
Townsville, including several babies and young children.
Queensland health experts say it is one of the worst outbreaks of dengue fever in several years.
